NHS England has a policy ambition to move people with learning disability, autism and/or mental health conditions out of long-stay inpatient facilities. This is an area that some VODG members have been actively involved in through the Provider Taskforce*.
VODG is running a special session in London to bring providers with an interest in this work together.
Tuesday 13th March 2018 (12.15 – 16.30). Member registration is essential via this link.
The event will hear from Ray James CBE (NHS England’s National Director for Learning Disabilities) and former president of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services. The plenary event will brief members on NHS England’s priorities in this area, as well as provide an opportunity to hear the personal views of Ray James leading the work.
Following the plenary session the event will move to a private session with senior directors and chief executives to review and take forward the work of the Provider Taskforce.
