East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation NHS Trust (EKHUFT) are pleased to announce the third annual EKHUFT Barbara Mushett Learning Disability Practice Award for an EKHUFT staff member or team that have gone that extra mile to deliver care that is person centred.

Sally Smith – Chief Nurse and Jean – Barbara’s sister are enthusiastic to hear of about care for people with learning disabilities that is adjusted to the persons needs.

Previous winners have developed and used communication tools,

while last years award went to Kings D at William Harvey for the person centred culture and case study examples offered.

This year EKHUFT will give extra consideration to anyone from outside of the organisation that wishes to acknowledge the care and support provided.
