Danielle Adams – Pharmacist and PhD Student at the University of Warwick is undertaking a Delphi study in deprescribing psychotropic medications in people with learning disabilities and is keen to recruit some learning disabilities nurses with an interest in the subject to participate.
This will involve completing a questionnaire – taking approximately 20 minutes and helping to prioritise the themes until a consensus is found. It is envisaged that this activity will be complete by the end of November 2024.

The Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board will be holding a number of online meetings to help shape the strategy for people with learning disabilities and autistic people in the county.
These events have been developed with local people to be accessible and inclusive to all.

The Community’s Steering Group is pleased to announce this year’s annual conference will take place on 4th December at Canterbury Christ Church University’s Medway campus.
We plan to share a flyer and call for abstracts/contributions in September, in the meantime please block the day out in your diary.
Canterbury Christ Church will host two more Learning Disability and Autism knowledge mobilisation events in September, continuing the university’s commitment to develop it’s offer to this specialised workforce in Kent and Medway and beyond.
These in person events are free and are aimed particularly at those that are working with people with learning disabilities and autistic people. For more details and booking please see below.
