Nursing Placement Strategy Launch Event: Social Care as a Nursing Placement of Choice – 17 July 2025

Skills for Care in partnership with the Council of Deans Health and Buckinghamshire New University are launching the first ever placement strategy for social care nursing.

Join this launch event to learn more about the strategy and how social care can become a placement of choice for all student nurses and nursing associates. You’ll hear from a variety of key speakers, panel discussions on how social care in the nursing curriculum and in practice learning, can support employability for future nursing graduates plus opportunities to participate in Q&A sessions. Community Connector Role in Thanet – Apply Now!!

Mencap are seeking to employ a person with a learning disability as a Community Connector in Thanet.
This is a paid role for a person local to Thanet district. The person will be employed by Royal Mencap Society (7.5 hours a week). The postholder will work closely with Laura Appleton (Mencap) on the ‘Our Active Community’ Project in Thanet. The role is fixed term until March 2027.

Forward Together Project, CBF – Seeking people living in Kent/Medway

The Challenging Behaviour Foundation (CBF) are leading on a new project aiming to bring families and professionals together with an interest in improving local support and services for people with severe or profound learning disabilities, and their families. Forward Together is focused on three areas – Kent and Medway; the Black Country; Salford and Manchester to set up regional networks, members of which will be invited to bi-annual Community of Practice meetings to identify and address local issues.
