Health Education Kent, Surrey and Sussex (HEKSS) are eager to meet people and organisations in Kent, Surrey and Sussex who employ registered learning disability nurses (RNLD).
An event is organised for 9th July for HESS to find out from providers of learning disability services what issues they have with the current workforce, which will help planning for the future.

The ‘Addressing Health Inequalities’ event is now almost at full capacity!
We are pleased to share details of the speakers and are happy to announce that contrary to previous communications tea, coffee and lunch will be provided to all, thanks for Canterbury Christchurch University.

Health Education Kent Surrey Sussex and the English Centre for Practice Development are eager to hear from stakeholders about what staff in emergency care – like A&E, might need to know in the future.
While local evidence appears to suggest that people with learning disabilities are proportionally more likely than the general population to use Emergency care, it would be important to have people with learning disabilities represented in the planning of future services.

The English Centre for Practice Development will be holding its first free masterclass on person centred practice research at Canterbury Christchurch University on 29th May at Laud Building from 5pm until 7pm.
Prof Brendan McCormack will be introducing two presentations on person centred leadership and culture.
