Kent End Of Life Workshop
Following the national report into the Liverpool Care Pathway, a series of workshops are being planned across the Country to look at proposals to improve end of life care for all. Kent is hosting one of these events in November.
Kent has a thriving Palliative Care for People with Learning Disability Network which is run by two Kent Community Learning Disability Nurses. More details of this network can be found here.

Help with MCA/DoLs Research needed!
Kate Blamires – Tizard MSc student is looking into how the Deprivation of Liberties (DoLs) procedures are working for people with learning disabilities.
To do this Kate is looking to interview care managers and home managers of people with learning disabilities where a Deprivation of Liberties has been applied.

New Adult Safeguarding Practitioner job in East Kent Hospitals
East Kent Hospitals have just advertised for a new Adult Safeguarding Practitioner role on nhs jobs at a Band 7.
This exciting new position is a developmental role and would be ideal for a nurse who has experience of working with adults at risk and the Mental Capacity Act.
