NAS: New measures to make transport more accessible

The Government has today announced new measures which it says “will improve accessibility across all types of travel for those with both visible and less visible disabilities.”

This is part of the Department for Transport’s (DfT) Inclusive Transport Strategy. These measures will include a £2 million passenger awareness campaign and an accreditation scheme for transport operators.

VCSE Inclusion Health Audit Tool!

This online tool will help your organisation to audit it’s engagement with Inclusion Health groups. These are the groups identified as experiencing the worst health inequalities in the UK.

The tool consists of five sections and takes around 15 minutes to complete. Once you have completed the audit tool, you will be provided with a unique and tailored guide which will help your organisation to embed action on tackling health inequalities into its everyday activities.

SCIE: Named Social Worker report

This programme has been about trying something different, piloting new ideas and generating early and indicative evidence about their impact. Pilots tested what difference it would make (and what it would look like in practice) for people to have an allocated social worker who could build a meaningful relationship with them, coordinate support in a holistic and person-centred way and be an advocate within the system.
