Equality and human rights helpline for advisers

The Commission is providing a service for the advice sector, solicitors, other organisations that support individuals with their problems, trade unions, and ombudsman schemes.

  • do you work with people who may have been discriminated against?
  • are you unsure whether someone might be able to make a complaint about a human rights issue?
  • have you been asked to help with a discrimination or human rights issue? Do you want to talk through a case?

Experts at the Commission are available to help.

We offer a telephone-based support service.

SCIE: Named Social Worker webinar

The Department of Health initiated the Named Social Worker programme in order to build an understanding of how having a named social worker can contribute to individuals with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs achieving better outcomes; specifically that they and their family are in control of decisions about their own future, and are supported to live with the dignity and independence which we all strive for. This programme is about trying something different, piloting new ideas and generating early and indicative evidence as to their impact.
