June 12-18 is Cervical Screening Awareness Week

Recent data collected from over half of GP practices in England in 2014-15 and 2015-16, to identify potential differences in the treatment, health status, and outcomes of people with learning disabilities compared with the rest of the population, found that fewer than 1 in 3 eligible females with a learning disability received cervical cancer screening, showing no change from 2014-15. Over 3 in 4 eligible females without a learning disability received this test.
