Do you want to help make a system wide difference that will impact positively on the lives of people with learning disabilities within Kent, Surrey and Sussex?
Health Education England working across Kent, Surrey and Sussex has commissioned Skills for Care to offer a free, 3 day systems leadership programme. This programme is to help support the national Transforming Care work that has begun nationally, which is aimed at improving services for people with learning disabilities and / or autism.
The programme is aimed at people from within organisations across the Health and Care system, who either are currently or will be involved in the transforming care programme. This includes but is not limited to people working in local authorities, clinical commissioning groups. independent, health, social and voluntary sectors as well as family carers. Each participant will also be offered the opportunity to engage in a number of 1:1 coaching sessions via the HEE KSS Leadership Collaborative, again free of charge.
By the end of the programme, it is aimed that the participants will have made valuable local contacts, and be able to go back to their “day job” with ideas about how to help implement innovation, change management and leadership.

It is expected that this will be a very popular programme, with more applications than there are places for. It is a unique practical training opportunity within the region, and we welcome applications from across the whole sector, in order that the cohort truly reflects the learning disabilities workforce within the region.
